Leadership Opportunities

Leadership TeamTreasure Valley Community College is dedicated to providing a comprehensive program of student initiated activities and events designed to meet the cultural, educational, social, and recreational needs of the students. Positions are available to any full time student, carrying 12 or more credits and maintaining a 2.5 cumulative grade point average. Previous leadership experience is not required.

The Student Leadership Team consists of three categories: Associated Student Government, Student Activities and Residence Life Staff. All student leaders at TVCC will receive intensive training prior to the fall quarter and participate in regional conferences throughout the year.

Members of the Student Leadership Team meet regularly as an organization and then break into groups for their respective meetings.

 
Benefits
Bill CondieThe Student Leadership program is designed to help students successfully achieve real life experience that may not necessarily be taught in a classroom setting. Student leaders have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in budget management, leadership, event management, and a variety of organizational skills. Every member of the Student Leadership Team works an average of 12 to 15 hours per week. Students involved in Associated Student Government and Student Activities are compensated in the form of a performance based stipend which is applied to their tuition. Other opportunities for financial assistance are available through the Intramural office, Residence Life office, and Student Programs office.
